Qualifications:
- B.S. - Music Education - Akron University, Akron, Ohio
- Studied piano for 13 years and the organ for 10 years.
Played the organ in France, Switzerland, Portugal and Italy in 1990, 1993, and 1995.
- Piano Teacher in the Manassas area for 13 years and member
of the American Guild of Organists from 1969 to the present.
- My name is annually inscribed in Piano Guild Notes American
College of Musicians on the page devoted to the Hall of Fame members.
- Author of several publications in the following magazines:
"The American Organist", "Keyboard Companion", "Junior
Keynotes", "Piano Rendezvous", "Piano Guild Notes", "The
Keyboard Informer", and "Music, Music."
- Judged at the National Federation of Music Clubs, Manassas,
VA for 10 years.
- Member of American College of Musicians, National Federation
of Music Clubs, Keyboard Teachers Association International, Inc., Music Teachers National
Association, Inc.
- As a Dominican Sister (1961-1969) I, and other nuns made a
recording of the songs from "The Sound of Music".
- In the Virginia Federation of Music Clubs (Festival) I had
11 Gold Cup Winners in 1993, 65 Superiors and 3 Gold Cup Winners in 1994, and 34 Superiors
and 5 Gold Cup Winners in 1995. Three to four years of performing is required before a
person can win a Gold Cup.
- In 1993, 38 students won one of the Guild's Five Special
Awards - The Guild Founder's Plaque -- 2 top talents winners -- Superior Plus. Of the
10,000 piano teachers and the 119,000 students who took part in the Guild, I was the only
piano teacher in the U.S. who had the most winners with each student's picture and my name
published in the "Piano Guild Notes."
- In 1994, 47 of my piano students participated in the
National Piano Guild Auditions.
- In the Sept. / Oct. 1996 "Guild Magazine" it was
noted that my students earned 64 of the 1300+ special plaques awarded in 1996 by the
Guild.
- In the 1997 "Guild Magazine" I was awarded as a
center with 108 students in the guild recital. Christina He and Michelle Guieb won the
Early Bach Plaque in 1996 and 1997. They performed fifteen pieces of memorized Bach music.
- On June 8, 1998 I gave a talk to the student body at the
Baldwin Elementary School in Manassas about teaching in the field of music for their
career day.
- Voted best music instruction by the readers of
"Manassas Kids Magazine" in the March 1999 issue.
- 1996 my studio participated in the National Piano Guild
Auditions. All the students won one of the Guild's Five Special Awards -- The Guild
Founder's Plaque. The only piano teacher in the U.S. that had the most winners with each
student picture and my name published each year in Piano Guild Notes. Michelle Guieb won
The Early Bach Medal Plaque.

- 1995-Present Manassas Chairperson for the National Guild of
Piano Teachers (Guild) Guild Center for Manassas area is my Piano Studio.
- Reiko Kawamura second place winner for the Virginia Lions
Bland Music Scholarship-Japanese exchange piano student (1995).
